Chuck Rosenberg is an American lawyer and former senior government official who has served in various high-profile positions in the US Department of Justice. He was born on April 14, 1960, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to a Jewish family. Rosenberg graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Amherst College in 1983 and then earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1987.
After law school, Rosenberg worked in private practice before joining the US Department of Justice in 1991. He rose through the ranks over the years, serving in various capacities including as a federal prosecutor, chief of staff to FBI Director Robert Mueller, and as the US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.
